Riverside City College, a city college in Riverside, California (approximately 60 miles east of Los Angeles) has announced a search for a full-time tenure-track professor of history in their Department of History, Philosophy, Humanities, and Ethnic Studies
Successful candidates for the job, the advertisement notes,
should have a primary field in History with a concentration in East Asia, South Asia, Pan-Asian or Asian American History with a responsibility to teach introductory courses based on their specialization. Initially, the candidate will be the lead subject matter expert in developing the introductory course curriculum for this area concentration for history or ethnic studies majors at the college. The candidate must also be prepared to teach most of her or his course load in World Civilization and/or US survey courses.
A minimum of two years' teaching experience are also requested for the position, which is a full-time tenure-track position (10 months) with a salary range between $57,903 - $89,213, plus other benefits.
