Our colleagues at the University of Essex (located in Colchester, England) have announced a job search for a position in Global History. "The Department," the announcement notes,
wishes to appoint to a post in Global History as part of its strategy to strengthen teaching and research expertise in global and transnational themes in History. The post holder will be important in the development of the Department's new BA in Global History. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the REF, as well as strengthening the capacity of the department to increase income from externally-funded research. We envisage that the post holder will play a role in shaping and delivering our core modules at undergraduate level, and also contribute to the development of a new flagship Masters course in Global History.The renumeration ranges between £38,511 - £45,954 per annum for those appointed at the Lecturer level, and £48,743 - £54,841 per annum for those at the Senior Lecturer/Reader Level; the start date for the job is September 1, 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.
