Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow, World History, Utah State University

For  world historians looking for an academic position, here is a recent call for applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow position at Utah State University. The call for papers explains more:

The Department of History at Utah State University invites applications for a one-year (non-renewable) postdoctoral teaching fellow in World History for the 2018-2019 academic year.  

The successful fellow may expect an annual salary of $40,000 plus benefits.  In addition to help with moving expenses, fellows may apply for department travel funds for at least one professional conference presentation.

Review of applicants begins March 1, 2018 and continues until the position is filled. 

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant should be able to teach two sections of pre-modern world history and two sections of modern world history in addition to one upper-division course in his or her area of specialization.  Fellows will be expected to participate in the life of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in history between May 2015 and March 2018
  • Highly effective communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking
